From a chess perspective, it’s been a positive start to the year:

• Mengzheng (Evan), Zilu and Freddie were selected for the Yorkshire U-11 team.
• Langlang, Josh, Patrik and Chuanxi played for the Sheffield junior team in the AG Sunderland Cup.
• Rishab was selected for Sheffield B for the first time, making his opponent work very hard indeed to hold a draw.
• Chuanxi won his first match in the adult evening league.

Currently, we’re consulting parents on a potential new venue. The Highcliffe Club has proven to be fantastic premises, but unfortunately we are really starting to outgrow it now.
